The Future of Our Constitution
Eustis Community Center 601 Northshore Dr,, EustisHear a presentation by Joanna Martin, J.D., discussing the possible negative consequences of a "Convention of States." Article V of the US Constitution allows the Congress to propose Amendments to the Constitution or to call a "Convention" to propose Amendments. Many people are unhappy with the current usurpations of power by the Federal Government. But, is a "Convention of States" the best way to make improvements. Joanna Martin says, "NO!" and has evidence to support her position. There are groups now proposing alternative Constitutions which both restrict individual Rights, and affirm CURRENT Federal Powers.
